House L - Lalique
Lalique
began as a enigmatic and forward thinking glass-maker and
in 1907 became the partner of the perfumer Francois Coty,
creating some of the most beautiful and enduring perfume flacon
icon's of the last century. The success of their collaboration
led to new developments with the famous perfumers of the 1920's
and the 1930's: Roger & Gallet, Houbigant, Molyneux, d'Orsay,
Molinard, Worth and many others. However, Rene Lalique remained
faithful to the philosophy of the Art Nouveau movement, aiming
to balance the needs of Art and Industry and created his own
perfume range as homage to himself and his own ideals. |
