Gucci launches Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme.


Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme is the male counterpart to the phenomenon which was Gucci by Gucci Pour Femme (launched Jan 2008).

The long awaited male launch will be nationwide in January but in the UK it is debuting in Harrods for a Christmas exclusive. The face of this new aftershave by Gucci is the edgy and up-and-coming Spiderman star James Franco, who epitomises the youthful sophistication of the fragrance.

Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme speaks to iconic, powerful, sensual men that represent todays Gucci man. It was created to be a fresh and modern aftershave, with a touch of cypress and citrus, linking back to the female perfume, and it is classified as a modernised woody chypre aftershave. Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme opens with bergamot, cypress and violet top notes, followed by heart notes of tobacco leaves and jasmine and base notes of patchouli, amber and elemi — an incense-like note taken from a tree that together with the tobacco it turns up the intensity of the aftershave and creates a uniquely seductive aroma.
